Alinity appeared in a lawsuit against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch participant from California filed a civil lawsuit seeking $25 million in damages from Twitch for exposing them to "overly suggestive and sexual content that came from female streamers" during their use of the site. Dexerto obtained court documents that reveal the plaintiff who was previously suing Microsoft Sony Nintendo Blizzard along with Blizzard has lodged a formal lawsuit on the 15th of June. Twitch received an official summons from the court on the 19th June. In the complaint that was filed with the Santa Clara Superior Court of California, Estavillo suffers from multiple medical issues that make him to rely entirely on the internet for all of his entertainment needs, as well as being afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OC addiction that is what the complaint states Twitch can only make worse. According to the complaint "the female streamers remain exposed to Twitch users who just want to see people playing video games, but instead are being exposed to sexually addictive material and content on a regular as well as on a regular every day." Alinity is not included. In the request for relief, the company wants to permanently ban all streamers who have violated Twitch Terms of Service. $25 million is also sought, "to be divided between plaintiff and the other Twitch primary Turbo subscribers" with the remainder going to charity.
