The couple had an only baby boy, Arthur Urach Costa born on May 19, 2005. After divorce, the couple split in 2008, following six years of marriage. Andressa Urach claims in her memoir Morri Para Viver that she was sexually abused between the ages of 2 and 8 by her foster grandpa. Andressa Urach only got free of the abuse after her foster grandma was able to catch her in the act. Andressa then returned home to her mother, who was unaware that she had suffered abuse until Andressa created her own book. In her appearances, the renown woman said that prior to the conversion to Christ, she could not have forgiven her abuser. My decision was the most difficult of my entire life. I spoke to the man I had been physically abused by. Not an easy task. It wasn't easy. After numerous prayers and fasting days, I told my friend on the phone that I was sorry for him. I did not feel shamed and pleaded with him to forgive me. My only action was request forgiveness.
